Good breakfast selection but room was a bit cramped with limited daylight.

fantastic central spot for exploring tromso's attractions and cafes

I had a wonderful time staying here, especially enjoying the fabulous view of the Tromso Cathedral from my room and the amazing, diverse breakfast that really got my day started right. plus, it’s just a few steps from the bus stop, making it super easy to catch tours in the area.

Family with children good choice

The breakfast was excellent, just loaded with options and I really appreciated that the staff was super friendly, made you feel welcomed, even got to chat a bit with them. The lounge area was nice too, good place to relax and unwind with free coffee and tea , we took advantage of that a lot!

It wasn't inexpensive, but you get what you pay for, I guess.

The breakfast options were impressive, featuring quality ingredients and variety that catered to all tastes. I appreciated the cozy atmosphere of the room, which made unwinding after activities enjoyable. Additionally, the location was superb. I could reach shops and restaurants within minutes. The breakfast was great, a lot of options and good quality.

The breakfast was phenomenal, with an array of

choices including bacon, eggs, and crepes. The staff was also incredibly friendly, leaving us a fruit tray for our special occasion. However, the room was smaller than expected, but it was sufficient for our needs during the stay.

Responsive and friendly staff.

Our stay was ruined by the room cleaning standards. After two days, the floor was visibly dirty and dust accumulated. Despite repeated requests to the receptionist, they simply ignored our complaints. On one occasion, we returned in the afternoon to find our room hadn't been cleaned at all, and after waiting two hours, we discovered that only the towels were replaced, leaving the bed unmade. To make matters worse, the hotel ran out of shower towels, forcing us to use hand towels instead.

i had a great time at this hotel. my previous stay in tromso was fine, but this one exceeded my expectations with its fantastic breakfast and cozy room. i loved the friendly staff who made me feel at home during my two nights here.

I enjoyed my stay at Thon Hotel Polar. The exceptional breakfast buffet featured a delightful variety of local specialties, and the central location made exploring Tromsø easy. A minor downside was the noisy street outside, but the overall comfort made it worthwhile.

The door key cards were deactivated multiple times, causing minor inconveniences.

We had an awesome stay! The room was cozy and warm—loved the decor and had everything we needed. Breakfast was solid with a nice mix of hot and cold foods. The staff was super friendly and fixed our room issue right away. Only thing? There could've been a bit more milk for the tea. Overall, a fab base for exploring!

However, some of the cooked foods were not served hot. Additionally, while the comfort of the room was commendable, darkening curtains are necessary for truly good sleep during the night light. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience with friendly staff who were always willing to assist.
